Be a Light in the Village - Become a Member
Join our Village! It takes a village to raise a child. Raising happy, healthy children is at the core of the mission of Black Child Development Institute - New York State (BCDI NYS). If you want to be part of that mission and network with other villagers across the state and the country, you’re a perfect fit! All are welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, or national origin. You have to be a human being (18 years of age or older please!) who is committed to the mission and vision of BCDI NYS and to equity, social justice, and the wellbeing of children, especially Black children. In return for your membership, you help support the work of BCDI NYS, focusing primarily on child and family wellbeing, education, health, climate, community development, social justice, and child development. You get discounts on select programs and events like a convening, conference or gala. You will be kept up to date on BCDI NYS activities; have access to free or discounted access to select swag; be invited to participate and help plan non-partisan civic engagement activities like rallies, marches, and calls-to-action; and have opportunities to participate in and help plan in-person and virtual events and programs such as trainings, community meetings, celebrations, and more!
