What is the future for the Black child?

At BCDI NYS our guiding star is the future of Black children.  We share the National Black Child Development Institute's vision for the first eight years of a Black child's life as stated in their Eight Essential Outcomes

With a strong foundation, Black children can thrive and reach their full potential as they grow into adulthood. It is crucial for Black children to envision themselves in a future where they are present and enjoy auspicious agency allowing them to actively and equally contribute to shaping the world.

This is the essence of Afrofuturism.
